D-Day

From History.com

D-Day was the name given to the June 6, 1944, invasion of the beaches at Normandy in northern France by troops from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and other countries during World War II. France at the time was occupied by the armies of Nazi Germany, and the amphibious assault—codenamed Operation Overlord—landed some 156,000 Allied soldiers on the beaches of Normandy by the end of the day. Despite their success, some 4,000 Allied troops were killed by German soldiers defending the beaches. At the time, the D-Day invasion was the largest naval, air and land operation in history, and within a few days about 326,000 troops, more than 50,000 vehicles and some 100,000 tons of equipment had landed. By August 1944, all of northern France had been liberated, and in spring of 1945 the Allies had defeated the Germans. Historians often refer to D-Day as the beginning of the end of World War II.

I’m reminded that God has had and does have D-Days:

Galatians 4:3-5, Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world. But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.

What a great passage!  We were like France, occupied by an enemy with no hope!  We were ruled by evil as was Paris in June of ‘44.  It was bad!  But there was a “D-Day” invasion to free us!

Exactly on God’s schedule – the invasion happened!  God took on flesh and was born of Mary in Bethlehem in order to die!  He laid down His life that we might be freed from the bondage that engulfed us. There was an “August day” when the 4th U.S Infantry Division marched through the streets of Paris as “saviors”.  There was a day when I realized and embraced the rescue by “Another” and danced, sang and rejoiced for the salvation that I couldn’t cause, nor pay for – what a day!  What a glorious day!  Shout and Sing!  Yeah and Yeah!

And just a reminder that Davos/WEF, the U.N., the DOJ, the C.F.R., Soros and friends or whomever thinks they are running the world – AREN’T!!!

God is mustering the “troops” for a “D-Day”.  Consider: So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind, Revelation 9:15.

God knows the future precisely and has a calendar which will be followed exactly because He is God and God alone – there is none beside Him (Isaiah 44:6).  There is no one or nothing that can or will phase His plan.  God will send His agents and the guns of “Omaha Beach” will be silenced!  Go, God!

God sees all, knows all and in the fullness of time – when by His full knowledge He will utter the “Go” and the invaders will be defeated and removed!

And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled, Luke 21:24.

For us?  We don’t know the “June 6” day of the Rapture or the Tribulation or the Second Coming, but we know they are close!  We don’t know the calendar of God but we have tons of prophecy (about a quarter of the Bible), so we know the season is near (Matthew 24:32, Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near). Jesus declared: “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me (Acts 1:7-8).

So, excited, prepared and being a good witness are the orders for the day!
