The passing of Queen Elizabeth is so large – so very Big! Thanks to God for her life and example!
The Queen brought to life a strength, a calm and a prestige/dignity to a world so desperately in need of such.
We live in a world of government people, business folk, and church-goers overflowing with ego, conniving and crudeness.
The Queen, at least in public, stood in stark contrast to those things.
We are daily told we deserve – we are worthy – we are #1 – we are so important; while the Queen – deserving, worthy, #1, and important – did not expect or press such from others. She came across gentle/kind, thoughtful and joyful. What a breath of fresh air in a world of stench.
And longevity – WOW! Not in the world where most of us live. The washing machine goes bad – throw it out. A coach doesn’t have a winning season – throw him/her out. A spouse doesn’t make one happy – throw them out! A church isn’t exciting – move on! We live in an instant fix and quick change world. And the Queen brought us a different message – a very good, needed message. Through thick and thin – stick it out. Be there!
The world took a huge hit yesterday. I wish we had millions cut from her cloth! May we learn from her and strive to be marked by that which marked her.
