God saw that nations be established after the total destruction of mankind via the worldwide flood:
Genesis 10:32, These were the families of the sons of Noah, according to their generations, in their nations; and from these the nations were divided on the earth after the flood.
But, mankind decided that they would not scatter but rather be one around a centerpiece – a tower:
Genesis 11:4, And they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.” 7 Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.” 8 So the Lord scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, and they ceased building the city.
God said NO to the one world idea!
Centuries later, Solomon became the king of the most powerful country in the world at the time due to the exploits of David who was empowered by God (I Samuel 26:8) and by making treaties with a host of countries by marrying the daughters of their kings:
Solomon 12:3, And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines.
So Solomon had created a one world order – at least a regional one.
And how did that work out?
I Kings 12:21, And when Rehoboam came to Jerusalem, he assembled all the house of Judah with the tribe of Benjamin, one hundred and eighty thousand chosen men who were warriors, to fight against the house of Israel, that he might restore the kingdom to Rehoboam the son of Solomon.
After Jesus, this statement was made by Paul in Athens, Greece:
Acts 17:26, And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings.
God, through Paul, noted that all men are equal – regardless of skin tone – but that they live in nations by His determination. Nations are His will for mankind. Thus a one world “nation” is not His will.
Yet man clamors for a oneness which will partially come together in future days. A very charismatic and powerful leader will arise (the antichrist) and much of the world will fall into his web. Revelation 13:3, And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast.
[Yet he will not have full power for the Gog group will attack Israel and be broken by God (Ezekiel 38) then a massive army from the east will come against the antichrist and be crushed at the second coming of Jesus (Revelation 16).]
Thus men, those void of allegiance to God and His truth, are bent on fixing the planet’s groaning (Romans 8:22) – which is marked by earthquakes, diseases and storms and an ever-growing number of wars and rumors of wars (Matthew 24:6) – by creating a one world order.
There are many shakers world over given to bringing the end to nations and the rise of an elite ruling group to manage the planet and save it from destruction by men and nations.
And there is a growing and very powerful group of Globalists in our country (Soros and Gates among others) who want the USA to not be exceptional or even strong. Rather, they desire that the USA be simply a country of mediocre importance as all other countries.
The one world order is on the front burner these very days worldwide (the UN, the W.H.O., the World Economic Forum) and in the USA. Listen to those who aspire to the Presidency and understand what they are advocating. Look to God and know what He is advocating!
There exists a one world order today under the governance of King Jesus. We must be good citizens of his kingdom and He calls us to be good citizens of the nation in which we live.
