Tomorrow about this time is the beginning of Rosh Hashanah – the Jewish Feast of Trumpets. And with the coming of that special day in Israel comes 500 or more missiles launched from Iran against Israel, as I write.
Sunday, both in the morning and evening, I was addressing this Feast and what it might mean in prophecy. One asked me after the evening service if I thought a retaliation from Iran might happen on this Feast, October 1st this year, and I thought so. I’m reminded that a war broke out between Egypt/Syria and Israel in 1973 on the holy day of Yom Kippur (the Feast right after Trumpets). Israel’s enemies used a Jewish holy day to do their thing and seems such is happening again.
Some thoughts about the seven Feasts of Leviticus 23:
On the first four Feasts of Leviticus 23, God did BIG things on each one… Jesus died, Jesus was buried, Jesus arose and the Holy Spirit came in a powerful way upon the 12 apostles beginning the church age. Four BIG God things exactly in each of those days.
So, there is every reason to believe that on the last three – Feasts of Trumpets, Day of Atonement and Tabernacles – God will again do BIG things! However, I don’t think that this attack now in Israel fulfills one of those BIG days. I do believe that exactly on Trumpets in the near future will be the Second Coming of Jesus to earth to end the rottenness and usher in His worldwide peaceful Millennium reign. With that BIG event will come Jesus standing in the Holy of Holies as the priest fulfilling the type of Melchizedek (Hebrews 7) and then the proclamation of His kingship and reign of 1,000 years (the Millennium) – The Feasts of Yom Kippur and Tabernacles.
I firmly believe that the Rapture – the snatching up by Jesus of His bride to the place that He has prepared for her – could happen at any time. I firmly believe that the Rapture happens before the 70th week of Daniel 9 and in fulfillment of numerous promises and prophecies. The moment of that event is ever closer.
What is happening right now tells us that we are getting very, very close to the last days! You need to be ready today – today might be your big day!
Do you know Jesus as your Savior? Have you submitted to His will, work and ways? Is Jesus your Leader, Master, Boss and King? Your good deeds – all of them – don’t work for you are seeking to achieve God’s pleasure on your terms. For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God, For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes, Romans 10:3-4.
These are exciting days! Eyes up – God is sovereign over all and engaged in all.
Those saved on His terms – faith in Jesus’s work that alone saves – are safe in the arms of Jesus (Deuteronomy 33:27).
