God gave a most important speech to mankind from the top of Mt. Sinai that He then put into “print” and directed that it be stored in a very secure box in a secure room.
Exodus 20:1-3, God spoke all these words, saying: “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. “You shall have no other gods before Me…
Deut. 10:1-2, At that time the Lord said to me, ‘Hew for yourself two tablets of stone like the first, and come up to Me on the mountain and make yourself an ark of wood. And I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke; and you shall put them in the ark.’
Exodus 25:10-11, “And they shall make an ark of acacia wood; two and a half cubits shall be its length, a cubit and a half its width, and a cubit and a half its height. And you shall overlay it with pure gold, inside and out you shall overlay it, and shall make on it a molding of gold all around…
16, And you shall put into the ark the Testimony which I will give you.
Exodus 26:33-34, And you shall hang the veil from the clasps. Then you shall bring the ark of the Testimony in there, behind the veil. The veil shall be a divider for you between the holy place and the Most Holy. You shall put the mercy seat upon the ark of the Testimony in the Most Holy.
Other “speeches” were to likewise be greatly valued and protected: So it was, when Moses had completed writing the words of this law in a book, when they were finished, that Moses commanded the Levites, who bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord, saying: “Take this Book of the Law, and put it beside the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there as a witness against you,” Deut. 31:24-26.
God had His speech put into a safety box in a vault! Cherished and Preserved.
Such should be our mindset toward great speeches and documents!
