Father’s Wisdom

God, our Father, with directives and info for His children: wisdom for life and living…

All from Deuteronomy

28:9-10, The Lord will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in His ways.  Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you.

28:47-48, Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of everything, therefore you shall serve your enemies,

29:29, The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.

30:4-6, If any of you are driven out to the farthest parts under heaven, from there the Lord your God will gather you, and from there He will bring you. Then the Lord your God will bring you to the land which your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it. He will prosper you and multiply you more than your fathers.  And the Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants, to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live.

30:6, And the Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants, to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live.

30:9b, For the Lord will again rejoice over you for good as He rejoiced over your fathers,

30:11-14, For this commandment which I command you today is not too mysterious for you, nor is it far off.  It is not in heaven, that you should say, ‘Who will ascend into heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’  Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’  But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.

30:19-20, I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you, life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore, choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days;

31:8, And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.

31:12-13, Gather the people together, men and women and little ones, and the stranger who is  within your gates, that they may hear and that they may learn to fear the Lord your God and carefully observe all the words of this law, and that their children, who have not known it, may hear and learn to fear the Lord your God as long as you live in the land which you cross the Jordan to possess.

32:3-4, For I proclaim the name of the Lord:  ascribe greatness to our God.
   He is the Rock, His work is perfect; for all His ways are justice,
   A God of truth and without injustice; righteous and upright is He.

32:6, Do you thus deal with the Lord, O foolish and unwise people?  Is He not your Father, who bought you?  Has He not made you and established you?

32:7, Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations.  Ask your father, and he will show you; your elders, and they will tell you:

32:10, He encircled him, He instructed him, He kept him as the apple of His eye.

32:39, Now see that I, even I, am He, and there is no God besides Me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; nor is there any who can deliver from My hand.

33:37, The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms;

33:29, Happy are you, O Israel!  Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord, The shield of your help and the sword of your majesty!
