Ugh and Yay

Thoughts from a S. D. friend…

Something evil has invaded our nation and our lives – a nation that has lost its collective mind and you cannot justify this insanity:

>If a guy pretends to be a woman, we are required to pretend with him.

>People who have never owned slaves should pay slavery reparations to people who have never been slaves.  [PK – but it is wrong to think that wealth can be passed to the next generation.]
>People who have never gone to college should pay the debts of college students who took out huge loans to get their college degree.

>Immigrants with T.B. and Covid are welcomed but you’d better be able to prove your dog is vaccinated.

>Irish doctors and German engineers who want to immigrate to the U.S. must go through a rigorous vetting process but any illiterate gang banger who walks through the southern border is welcomed.  

>Five billion dollars for border security is too expensive but 3.5 trillion for free health care is not.

>If you cheat to get into college, you go to prison, but if you cheat to get into the country, you go to college for free.

>We are advised to not judge all Muslims by the actions of few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge all gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics.

>Seems we constantly hear about how Social Security is going to run out of money, but we never hear about welfare or foreign aid running out of money.  The first group worked for their money, but the others didn’t.

>I had my patience tested – I’m negative.

>Vegan food ain’t bad once you add meat and cheese to it. 

>I’m a second-hand vegetarian – cows eat grass and I eat cows. 

>I remember being able to get up without sound effects.

About true Christians:
1:2, we give thanks to God for you
for, 1:6, you became followers of God and Jesus –
and, 1:8, from you the Word has gone out –
and your life is a witness as, 1:9, you turned to God from serving idols and now serve the living and true God.

Together we anticipate the Lord coming for us:
2:19, You are our hope, our joy, our crown as you are with Jesus at His coming.
Knowing that, 3:13, Jesus is coming with all His saints
and, 5:14, and you will be blameless on that day!

And notes from II Thessalonians:
Marks of a believer – 1:3, faith grows and love abounds
with a confidence that, 1:6, God will reply (God sees and rewards)
and desiring that, 1:12, Jesus be glorified in each believer.

Paul then asked believers to, 3:1, pray for him –
and, 3:6, be careful of friends
and remember that, 3:10, “no work means no eat”
and, 3:13, keep doing good.
