II Corinthians 10:3-5, For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
Colossians 2:8, Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.
Our culture is at War with core Biblical values: God is and speaks, creation is by God, man is created in God’s image, man’s purpose is to honor and serve God, evil is that which is contrary to the Ten Commandments, and God will resurrect and judge all men to an eternal state.
Our culture no longer tolerates a Biblical worldview but deems it an evil that needs to be silenced and even expunged.
Our culture is denying, mocking and even attacking truths that most in this country, at least outwardly, agreed to just a few years back. Some aspects of this war are old and some quite recent.
The battlefields include:
- God’s Existence – He is and engaged. All things were created through Him and for Him, Colossians 1:17
They – Humanism – man is the center of life
Many today hold the universe is ego-centric (geo-centric), not God-centric (helio-centric). - God’s Portrait/artwork – His creation. Evolution – a bang or a belch, but NOT God!
Romans 1:18-24, For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man-and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness
They – Not six days; or it is God AND evolution – a worship of the house and not the Builder - God’s Image – Male and Female – a team that complements
They – You get to decide gender and family parameters - God’s Triunity – Marriage expresses God’s being and work – Matthew 19:4-6, Genesis 2:22-25
They – Per RFMA signed into law Dec. 13, marriage is by man’s definition - God’s Blessing – Children are a gift, a blessing, a hope
They – Davos folk claim over population and needed birth control or elimination - God’s Helpmate – Woman – equal to the Man with a distinctly different role
They – Feminism propagates a woman’s equality and teaches male suppression - God’s Word – the Bible – His truth is universal and unchanging
They – No, it is my truth! Genesis 3, has God said? you will not! you will be! - God’s Grace – Salvation – an adoption into His “house” and His rules
They – a license, a right, a freedom, a blessing to pursue life by my will - God’s Future – Prophecy – God has declared the future and told us so
They – II Peter 3, all things are as have been (no flood), it is on mankind to save the planet - God’s Eternity – a Heaven to desire and a Hell to fear and flee
They – Man is but dust with hope only in science and luck
