20 Key Jesus Events

1. Of eternity past – God, fully God, always God – without beginning
   Micah 5:2, from everlasting
   John 1:1, in the beginning Word – the Word was God

2. Decreed to make a being in His image to dwell with Him forever
   Genesis 1:26, Let us make man in our image

3. Jesus: “I’ll pay their sin debt.”
   Revelation 13:8, in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world

4. Created it all
   Colossians 1:16, For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth

5. Heel to be bruised – to suffer greatly
   Genesis 3:15, He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.

6. Left Heaven
   Hebrews 5:5, “You are My Son, today I have begotten You.”
   Hebrews 10:5, “A body You have prepared for Me.”

7. Entered Mary’s womb
   Luke 1:35, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.

8. Born a human yet fully God – the hypostatic union
   Luke 2:11, There is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 

9. Anointed by the Holy Spirit
   Matthew 3:16, He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.

10. Presented Himself as the Lamb of God
    John 1:29, John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God…”
    Palm Sunday note: John 12:15, “Fear not, daughter of Zion; Behold, your King is coming.”

11. Laid down His life – died!
    John 10:18, No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself.
    Luke 23:46, Having said this, He breathed His last.

12. Raised from the dead
    Romans 6:4, as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father

13. Ascended bodily from earth
    Acts 1:9, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.

14. Took a seat at the right hand of God
    Hebrews 1:3, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty 

15. Will call His bride to a place He has prepared (the rapture)
    John 14:3, And if I go and prepare a place for you
    I Thessalonians 4:17, Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. 

16. Return to earth as her King
    Revelation 19:11, I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse and He who sat on him was called…

17. Smite and remove all non-believers
    Revelation 19:15, out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations.

18. Rule on earth for 1,000 years
    Revelation 20:6, of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

19. Will judge all non-believers for their rebellion

20. Reign on earth for eternity
    Revelation 21:3, a new earth – the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them.
