The Rule of God’s Law

God says it and that settles it!  PERIOD!  It behooves me to believe it!

Mark 1:15, …and saying, “The time is fulfilled.”
Galatians 4:4, But when the fullness of the time had come,
Isaiah 55:11, So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Deuteronomy 12:28, Observe and obey all these words which I command you, that it may go well with you and your children after you forever, when you do what is good and right in the sight of the Lord your God.
Psalm 100:5, For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.
Psalm 105:8, He remembers His covenant forever, the word which He commanded, for a thousand generations.
Psalm 119:160, The entirety of Your word is truth, and every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.
Isaiah 40:8, The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever.

I Peter 1:23, Having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever,
I Peter 1:25, “But the word of the Lord endures forever. Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.”

There was a massive flood but never again – God says so!  Genesis 9:16, “The rainbow shall be in the cloud, and I will look on it to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.” 

Set your clock per Greenwich Mean Time.  Jeremiah 33:20-21, Thus says the Lord: “If you can break My covenant with the day and My covenant with the night, so that there will not be day and night in their season, then My covenant may also be broken with David My servant.”

God’s Law obeyed brings blessings. Deut. 32:46-47, He said to them, “Take to heart all the words by which I am warning you today, that you may command them to your children, that they may be careful to do all the words of this law. For it is no empty word for you, but your very life, and by this word you shall live long in the land that you are going over the Jordan to possess.”

God commanded the Sabbath Year be kept:  Leviticus 25:4, But in the seventh year there shall be a Sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a Sabbath to the Lord. You shall not sow your field or prune your vineyard.  

God declared man’s failure would bring His fulfillment: Leviticus 26:35, As long as it lies desolate it shall have rest, the rest that it did not have on your Sabbaths when you were dwelling in it.

And so it was, for 490 years they had not let the land rest so they owed 70 years and that is precisely what God took – He removed them from the land for 70 years!  II Chronicles 36:21, To fulfill the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed its Sabbaths.  All the days that it lay desolate it kept Sabbath, to fulfill seventy years.

God says it – so be it!!
