In the Ten Commandments, God told every human to honor their parents, to keep one day a week to honor their Creator, to not covet but be content, to not hate and kill others, to honor God in worship and word, to not abuse others sexually, to not steal, and to practice justice (no false testimony).  Those laws were given to people.  God both empowered people with privilege and power and He charged them with responsibilities.  Man could disobey and suffer the consequences or obey and be blessed.  

Such is the seedbed for capitalism – human dignity, rights, opportunities, and duty.  Man can opt and fail and bear the consequences of his choices.  Man can start a business and pick up the pieces.  Man can work and provide or go without (don’t work, don’t eat).  Man has freedoms within boundaries.

Socialism removes many freedoms and reduces men to serfdom – laboring for the government and for others.  The Communism Churchill warned us of is socialism with a sword.
