What are some character qualities you should consider working on in 2021 that you might be more like Jesus and more pleasing to God?  Some ideas:

Exodus 18:21, Moreover you shall select from all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness;

Leviticus 19:32, You shall rise before the gray headed and honor the presence of an old man, and fear your God: I am the Lord.

Isaiah 66:1-2, Thus says the Lord: “Heaven is My throne, and earth is My footstool. Where is the house that you will build Me? And where is the place of My rest? For all those things My hand has made, and all those things exist,” says the Lord. “But on this one will I look: On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at My word.

Amos 5:15, Hate evil, love good; Establish justice in the gate.  It may be that the Lord God of hosts will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.

Micah 6:8, He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God!

I Thessalonians 5:16-18, Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Colossians 3:2-3, Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.  For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

Colossians 3:12-17, Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on…

1 tender mercies, 2 kindness, 3 humility, 4 meekness, 5 longsuffering;

6 bearing with one another, and 7 forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.

But above all these things 8 put on love, which is the bond of perfection.

And 9 let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body;

and 10 be thankful.

11 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom,

12 teaching and admonishing one another

13 in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

And whatever you do in word or deed, 14 do all in the name of the Lord Jesus,

15 giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

Colossians 3:22, Bondservants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but in sincerity of heart, fearing God.

Colossians 4:2, Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving;

Colossians 4:5, Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time.

Colossians 4:6, Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.

What a slew of things to work on!  Pick 3 or 5 points and make a sincere effort to greatly improve your living them out this year.  May 2021 be marked by a large step forward with Jesus!  Happy New Year!
